Consultative and Educational In-service Sessions
Consultative services typically include a meeting between the treating therapist and parents, caregivers or other professionals who work with the child. This can include teachers, speech therapists, psychologists, etc. The goal of these meetings is to identify this child’s areas of need and to facilitate collaboration of approach and use of strategies to help achieve timely progress. Consistency among parents, therapists and others who interact with the child is essential. These services are available in a variety of settings, including our office or the child’s preschool, daycare, school or camp.
For the educational professional, we also provide a wide range of educational in-service and training sessions that can be adapted to meet the specific needs of any facility including, but not limited to, schools, daycares, pediatrician’s offices and facilities that target early development and socialization. The length, content and format of the presentation will be tailored to meet the specific needs of the facility. New Jersey educational professionals seeking to earn Professional Development Hours will gladly be provided with a certificate of attendance following each in-service and training session that we conduct. Our practice periodically sponsors in-services for families and professionals at our location as well.
